Marilyn S. Wagner, born May 8, 1944, in Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, in Kettering, Ohio. Throughout her life, Marilyn exemplified devotion to family and community, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A lifelong resident of Ohio, Marilyn's family was the center of her world. Known for her unwavering willingness to help anyone in need, she was a pillar of kindness and generosity. She cherished her children and grandchildren above all else, finding immense joy in their lives and accomplishments. Her love extended naturally to great-grandchildren, bringing warmth and happiness to the generations that followed.
Marilyn’s personal interests reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She loved the ocean and the beach, often finding solace and joy in boating. Her affection for animals was well known, and in quiet moments, she expressed her creativity through arts and crafts, engaging in these hobbies with enthusiasm.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Kimberly (Jamon) Caudill, Liana McKinney, and Cindy (Raleigh) Pennington. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Shane West, Brittany West, Haleigh (Seth) Gabbard, and Gracie Pennington; as well as her great-grandchildren, Eriana Peters, Levi Caudill, Elijah Blair, Layla Gabbard, and Mila Gabbard. Marilyn also leaves behind her sister, Margaret Harvey, alongside numerous extended family members and friends who were fortunate to share in her life and love.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mozie and Melva (Shelton) Alcorn; her husband, Leroy McKinney, Sr.; brothers, Robert, Eugene, James, and Dallas Alcorn; and sisters, Betty Reeder and Carol Middleton.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 5:00PM to 6:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The funeral service will follow at 6:00PM. These moments provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to come together in remembrance and to honor Marilyn’s remarkable life.
Marilyn S. Wagner’s enduring legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory remains a beacon of kindness and strength, deeply cherished and forever remembered.
