Marilyn M. Shively, age 86 of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1930 in Jackson, Michigan , the daughter of Dewey and Josephine Miller.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley F. Shively Jr.; parents, Dewey and Josephine Miller; grandson, Kyle Swadener; Nephew, Skip Lawson and Niece, Diana Theewis.
Marilyn is survived by her Daughter, Janice Shively; Son, Scott F. Shively; Sister, Margaret Galambos; Sister In Law, Mary Anne Lawson. Granddaughter, Elizabeth Perr and Great-Grandson, Elijah Peer. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Marilyn was very proud to have served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1951. She was one of the first women to serve in the Women's Air Force. She retired from Elder-Beerman after 22 years of employment. She is a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist.
At this time there will be no services. Final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery.
