Listen to Obituary

Marie Boone, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 16, 2026, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, with her family by her side. Born on November 5, 1954, in Dayton, she lived a life marked by warmth, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Marie's spirit was both onery and dynamite-a complex blend of tenacity and tenderness that endeared her to everyone who knew her. She radiated love and care in everything she did, from the simple joys of sister nights and Sundays spent with family to quiet moments lost in her favorite computer game, Farmville, or watching beloved television shows. Her presence was a comforting constant, a source of strength and laughter within her family circle.

A proud graduate of Northridge High School’s Class of 1973, Marie carried the values of dedication and hard work throughout her life. She treasured her role within her family above all else, considering them her greatest accomplishment. Her commitment was visible in the way she provided for those she loved, nurturing and supporting them unconditionally.

Marie is survived by her devoted children: Kevin Boone (Kelli), Dawn Boone, Frank Boone (Senita), and Angie Boone; a loving circle of sisters including Patricia Henderson, Cathy Lee, Bonnie Peters (Jerry), and Ruth Day (Ronnie); brother-in-law Carl Hatfield; grandchildren Christina, Junior, Cody (Taryn), Kevin Jr (Erin), Tyler, Billy (Chelsea), Karson, Ashley, Emily, and Jazime (fiancé Isaac); and precious great-grandchildren Bella, Briella, Mia, Bailey, Kevin III, and Ivy. Her extended family includes many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who carry her memory close in their hearts. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Daisy Mae, who she loved dearly.

She is mourned by all who knew her but is now reunited in spirit with her late husband, Daniel Allen Boone; her parents, Jewel and Virginia Mae (Brush) Hunt; brother Rick Hunt; sister Sheila Hatfield; brothers-in-law James Henderson and Michael Lee; and great-granddaughter Amber Kelly Boone.
