Margiebelle Payne Bulpin (1931 - 2025)

Margiebelle “Margie” Bulpin, 94, of Belmont, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Born to Jesse Fox Payne and Zella Mary Payne, Margie grew up in a large family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; her son, Gary; and her brothers Thurman, Hiram, Edward, Marcel, Garland, and Jerry Payne. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tom) Fulton; her sister, Ruth (Michael) Dewitt; four granddaughters, Ashley (John) Rupp, Andrea (Joe) Nelson, Allyson Bulpin, and Katelynn Fields; and seven great-grandchildren, Penelope and Eloise Rupp, Axel and Avery Nelson, Ayden Stewart, and Carson and Olivia Fields.

A 1949 graduate of Stivers High School, Margie began her career at Dayton Engineering Laboratories before devoting her time to raising her children. She later became well known in her community for her ceramics classes, which she taught from her basement for more than 40 years.

Margie and Chuck were dedicated supporters of Carroll High School, especially the marching band and football team. From crafting custom ceramic footballs with each senior player’s number to preparing spaghetti dinners for a hundred band members, Margie was always ready to step in and take care of everyone when it mattered most. She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, unwavering support of her loved ones, and her lifelong love of Elvis Presley.

Margie’s family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to her closest friends, for providing care and support when she needed it most, especially to Ginny, Mike, Mary, and Becky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can go to Carroll High School (athletic or music departments) or Hospice of Dayton.
