Margie Jean Marion passed away at Hospice Of Dayton on December 27th 2017 at the age of 90 years old. She was born August 3rd 1927 to the late Gilbert and Margaret Williams in Portsmouth, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her sisters Velma Parker, Dorean Dehart, Virgie Lute and Flora Holsinger and brother Ralph Williams. Margie is survived by her children Michael Marion Sr. , Janice Bates and Terry Dennis and Margie's Brother Lawrence Williams; Multiple grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
During her life Margie worked on the railroad and various other companies such as Sunshine Biscuit Company, Libby glass, McCall's, Rikes, Dayton Tire And Rubber where she met and later married Omer Dennis. She later started working at Inland where she later retired from. Family was very important to her and she always made sure you had a full belly before you left her house. She loved to cook and her homemade Chicken and Noodles and fried chicken was always a favorite. But, let's be honest here, there was so many things she cooked that we loved from her homemade mashed potatoes, cabbage rolls, vegetable soup, autumn dish and her chocolate brownies. She always wanted to make sure you had enough to eat.
When Margie and her sister Virgie were living they loved to spend time together cooking and baking making homemade bread and rolls. You could smell it from blocks away. It was a smell you will never forget. They also loved going to thrift stores and to the corner cupboard to shop for various items for their grandchildren. Margie enjoyed spending time at "THE LAKE" with her family enjoying the weather and drinking her morning coffee on her swing. She always made us breakfast at the lake cooking on the kerosene stove outside and it was a smell that would wake you up because it smelled so good. Nothing could beat grandmas cooking. There are so many memories she had with family and she truly left a mark on all of our hearts. She will truly be missed. She is gone but will NEVER be forgotten.
