Margaret L. "Margie" Blandford, age 99, of Dayton passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. Margie was born June 3, 1920 in Frenchtown, Ohio to the late Clarence & Mary Moorman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, George "Bud" Blandford; sons-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" Myers and Donald "Don" Mitchell; and brother, Robert "Bob" Moorman.
Margie is survived by her children, Carol A. (David) Hodson, Georgia Sue Mitchell, Michael G. Blandford and Patricia R. Myers; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed Moorman and Carl Moorman; and many other relatives and friends. Margie had many friends at Siena Woods. The family would like to thank the staff at Siena Woods for their loving care.
We feel fortunate to have had and loved Mom for all these years. Mom would've celebrated her 100th birthday on June 3, 2020.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 1-2 pm at the Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. At 2 pm we will process to Calvary Cemetery for a graveside service, where Margie will be laid to rest next to her husband Bud. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siena Woods Transitional Care Community, 6125 N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415.
