Margaret Szymanski

Szymanski, Margaret, age 87, passed away on December 17, 2016. She was born on October 21, 1929 in Utrecht, Holland to the late Albert and Theodora Jansen.

Margaret is survived by her children Edward (Kathryn) Szymanski, Robert Szymanski, Stella Farish; grandchildren Marcy (Phillip Bridges) Szymanski, Micah Szymanski; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Margaret left Europe in 1954 with her husband Tadeusz immigrating to Canada. They came to the U.S. in 1961 seeking the American dream. Settling in Dayton in 1963 she worked for Mad River Schools, Brantwood Elementary, as "The Lunch Lady" for over 40 years before retiring.

The family will receive friends on December 21, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, starting at 4:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm. The family asks donations be made to Hospice of Dayton or Miami County in Margaret's memory.
