Margaret E. Stickley, age 83 of Beavercreek, OH passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017. She was born October 25, 1934 in Trenton, Missouri to Garland and Ava (Brooks) Hansen.
Margaret grew up in the small town of Cheyenne Wells, CO and attended college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in dietetics as well as meeting her husband, Erwin. They married on August 25, 1957 in Cheyenne Wells. Margaret worked as a dietician in hospitals in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas before retiring and moving back to Colorado. She and Erwin spent their final years living near their daughter and granddaughter in Beavercreek, OH. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She especially enjoyed having family and friends to her home to celebrate birthdays and other special days. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Karla (Gordon) Strong; granddaughter, Katherine Strong; sister, Marilyn Abbe; and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Erwin Stickley.
Services will be conducted at a later date in Canon City, CO. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45420.
