Marcia Lou Stidham, a beloved mother and grandmother passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on February 9, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio.
She is a graduate of Kiser High School and retired from Kroger after many years of service. Marcia was deeply committed to her family. She found unparalleled joy in being a grandmother, never missing an event for her grandchildren. She embraced her role as ‘Mamaw’ with pride, often reflecting that her proudest accomplishments were tied to her family. Marcia’s memories will carry on through her grandchildren, Hannah (William) Bach, Wyatt Donley, and Carson Donley, always making time to enjoy their company and support their endeavors.
Marcia is survived by her loving daughter, Shanda (Brian) Donley, and a multitude of extended family, including her sister-in-law, Debbie Grant; nephew, Kelly (Lisa) Grant; great niece, Katie Norton; and great nephew, Kris Norton.
Preceding Marcia in death were her parents, Harvey and Nola Grant; husband, Elmer; son, Eric Thome; brothers, Jerry Grant and Norman Grant; niece, Liz Norton, and nephew, Michael Grant.
Marcia will be remembered not only for her kind nature and unwavering love for her family but also for the countless memories she created with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Avenue. Please meet at cemetery entrance at 10:45 a.m.
