Manuel A. Vann, Sr., age 52 of Trotwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2018. Manuel was born on October 26, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Flossie and Earnest Vann. He attended Dunbar High School - Class of 1983. Manual was a very skilled welder, working for many companies.
Manuel was a fun-loving man. He enjoyed playing corn hole, going to casinos, and spending time with those he loved. He was a culinary genius and skilled on his grill. Manuel never knew a stranger and had the ability to always bring a smile to your face and laughter to your heart.
Manuel married the love of his life, Shaletha Williams in 2005. The two have spent many happy years together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Manuel leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Shaletha Vann; children, Manuel Vann, Jr. and Tarece Vann; step-children, Robert (Hope) Easton, Shanice (Percy) Collins, Joey Jr., Leroy, Jimelia; 7 grandchildren; brother, Fred (Lisa) Vann, Sr.; sisters, Zanetta Vann and Cassandra Vann; mother-in-law, Evelyn Waddy; sister-in-law, Yvonne (Fred) Mitchell; godmother, Patsy Alexander; special nieces and nephew, Fred Jr., Kamica, LaTisha, and Rica; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11am - 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel. A Celebration of Life for Manuel will follow at 1pm.
