It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mamie Louise Charlton, who departed this life on Sunday, March 15th at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Mamie Charlton was born on May 31st, 1950 in Newbern, AL to Robert Tubbs and Mamie Louise Cooke. Mamie was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Mamie dedicated her life to Christ (as a member of Bethesda Temple in Dayton, Ohio and Christ Temple in Fort Wayne, IN) and caring for her 5 children. One of her greatest joys was watching black and white films, cooking, shopping, and connecting with her loved ones.
Mamie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love, wisdom, and encouragement will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Mamie is survived by her five children (Brett, Carmen, Eric, Aaron and Angela), Grandchildren, Siblings, Great- Grand Children and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Going Home Celebration and details will be provided at a later time for those who would liketo gather in remembrance and celebration of Mamie’s life.
