Magnolia Ashe, affectionately known as Maggie, was born on August 10, 1945, in Alabama, and she departed this world on November 18, 2025, in Ohio. A vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many, Maggie made significant contributions throughout her life, particularly through her work at Delphi Manufacturing Plant and as a dietitian at Miami Valley Hospital.
Maggie was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, where her strong personality began to shine. Known for her sharp wit and humor, she was a figure of resilience and determination, unyielding in the face of challenges. Her feisty, sometimes combative nature earned her the respect and admiration of her peers, as she never backed down from a fight or an opportunity for laughter.
An active member of the Dayton Bowling community, Maggie cherished every moment spent bowling with her friends and family. This beloved pastime was more than just a hobby; it was a way to connect with those she loved and share joyful experiences. She was known for her extraordinary photography skills, always capturing special moments with a camera in hand, another testament to her vibrant approach to life.
Maggie's legacy is kept alive by her loving siblings, Samuel (Linda) Black Jr., Helen (Milton) Wright, Larry (Sharmin) Black, and Alethea Black. She is also survived by her cherished nieces, Tonna Black, Tonisha Selmon, and Avia Black, and her nephew, Larry Black, along with many other family members and friends who hold her memory dear.
Maggie is reunited with her beloved parents, Samuel Sr. and Alberta Black; her son, Kimani Jamal Ashe; and her sisters, Diana White and Amanda Render. As we remember Magnolia Ashe, we honor a life lived with humor, passion, and an unwavering spirit, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
