Lynne D. Melanson

Lynne D. Melanson, age 82 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 14, 2026. She was born December 1, 1943 in Concord, Massachusetts. The daughter of the late William Downey and Edith (Ed) Carlton (Larsen).

Lynne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Lynne's pride and joy was her family and being able to spend as much time with them as she could. She had a love for animals especially her fur baby, Lucy. Lynne had a passion for traveling and going to the beach. Her hobbies were crafting, painting, and playing cards. Lynne will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Lynne was preceded in death by her husband, Lenny Melanson Jr.; granddaughter, Danielle Melanson; and sister-in-law, Sandy Dee (Melanson).

She is survived by her children, Keith Melanson, Michelle Melanson, and Kris (Kristin) Melanson-Brewer; grandchildren, Brittany (Eliot) Mackert and Kaelyn (Lindy) Brewer; great grandson, Boston Krew Melanson Brewer; host of nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
