Lynda May Florea, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 4, 2026, in Fairborn, Ohio. Born on May 28, 1941, in Jacksonville, Ohio, Lynda’s life was marked by devotion to her loved ones, steadfastness, and quiet strength.
A proud graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 1959, Lynda embarked on a remarkable thirty-year career at General Motors, where she excelled as a factory worker in brake assembly. Through her diligent work and commitment, Lynda set an example for those around her, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends.
Lynda possessed a warm and generous spirit, known by all for her giving heart and loving nature. Family held the place of highest importance in her life, especially her grandchildren, of whom she was immensely proud. She poured her love into her family, offering guidance and unconditional support that will forever echo in the lives she touched.
Her creative soul found joy in arranging flowers, bringing beauty and color into her home and the lives of others. Lynda also delighted in the arts, frequently attending theatre productions and concerts, and enriching her life with music and culture. These passions were a reflection of her appreciation for the finer details in life and her desire to share joyful experiences with those around her.
Lynda’s memory will be cherished by her devoted daughter, Lori (Sherman) Board; beloved grandchildren Anthony (Angela) Carpenter, Rachel Baker, Brandon (Nicole) Board, and Christopher (Morgan) Luttrell; her great-grandchildren Ava Carpenter and Landyn Baker; son-in-law David Luttrell; her sister Patt Rairden; and her brothers Phil Antle and Ed Antle. Their lives are brighter for having known her unyielding love and wisdom.
She was reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Floyd Florea; her daughter, Karen Luttrell; her parents, Garnett and Wilbur Antle; her siblings John Antle, Shirley Simkins, Helen Duke, and Phyllis Forester, whose memories are lovingly carried forward by all who knew them.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek, located at 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432, on July 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A memorial service in her honor will follow at 6:00 pm at the same location.
