Lyn Cooper

Lyn Cooper, born August 12, 1947, passed away on September 16, 2026.

Lyn will be remembered as a warm and caring woman who loved helping people and brought joy to those around her with her sense of humor. She always enjoyed a good joke, or a bad one, and that lighthearted spirit was part of what made her so beloved. She also had a love of adventure and exploration, traveling to Alaska, Ireland, Italy, and France, and enjoying cruises with her friends. Florida held a special place in her heart, especially the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets on the beach.

Above all, Lyn adored her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nona. Her family was a treasured part of her life, and the love she shared with them will remain a lasting gift.

She is survived by her son, Wes Rosencrans, and his wife, Brandy; her daughter, Megan Sivits, and her husband, Chris; her step-sons, Robby Cooper and his wife, Pam, and Ronny Cooper. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Carter Rosencrans, Reese Rosencrans, Elizabeth Cooper, and Raymond Cooper; as well as many family and friends.

Lyn was preceded in death by father, Eugene Carter; her mother, Nettie "Billie" Carter; and her brother, Gene Carter.

Lyn’s memory will live on in the laughter she shared, the kindness she showed, the journeys she embraced, and the deep love she gave to her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi, 6245 Wilmington Pike., Dayton, starting at 11:00am.
