Lydia Frances Pollard Payne, 89, long time resident of Miamisburg, OH; widow of George Thomas Payne (Flemingsburg and Mason County, KY), passed away at the Miamisburg Kingston Health Care Facility, Sept. 30, 2018.
"MOM" Payne was born on Nov. 30, 1928 in Brooksville, Bracken County, KY, daughter of the late Bela Mark Pollard and Christine Frances Brewer–Pollard-Stevens (both of Bracken County, KY). Had been a Member of Calvary Baptist Church, Maysville, KY and Franklin Street Baptist Church, Centerville, OH.
Preceded in death by husband, George T. Payne, brother, Leo Mark Pollard, sister Gladys Marie Pollard Fields, half brother Danny Mark Pollard, nephew Keith Payne, and Grandson Douglas Kirk Donovan.
Survived by daughter Diana S. Payne Donovan, Dayton, Oh; grandson Tyler Donovan, Monroe, Oh; great granddaughters Brooke Machelle Donovan and Cassandra Lee Donovan; nieces Phyllis Payne, Frankfort, KY; great niece – Chandra Payne, Frankfort, KY; nephew Don Payne, Kokomo, IN; nieces Jo Ann Meyer-Cornellius and husband Ron, Xenia, OH; Nelly Marie Meyer - Xenia, OH; nephew Rodney L. Fields, Mims, FL; great nephews: Michael Davis and wife Heather, OH – Sons Landon and Greyson; Shawn Strunk and wife Samantha, OH – children Jordon, Shelby, Christine, Ava, Megan, Austin; great great grand-nephew Kameron; Jason Strunk and wife Wendy and children Gavin, Delaney; half sister Wanda May Pollard-Adkins; plus four other half sisters and their children Brooksville, KY.
Memorial services will be officiated by Pastor Terrell Hudson of Moraine Heights Baptist Church, Dayton, OH., Friday, October 12, 2018 – 2:30 PM at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH, 45428.
