Lucille Agnes Campbell

Lucille Agnes Campbell, age 85, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away February 3, 2026. Lucy was born in Savannah, Georgia on October 12, 1940 to Berisford and Annette (Reid) Campbell.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands.

Lucy is survived by her four children: Donald DaCosta and his children David, Paul, Lisa, and Carol; Barry DaCosta and his children Louis, Deana, Rodney, Teresa, Tammy, Sherol, & Kendal; Pamela Hampden and her children Patrick, Tony, Natasha, and Stanmore; Kurt Clarke and his daughter Katrina; there are also numerous great-grandchildren.

Lucy lived in several places. She lived in the Caribbean, in England, New York state, and Florida. She moved to Dayton in 2002 and resided here ever since.

Lucy was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 10, 1974. Lucy loved her God, Jehovah, and his Word, the Bible. For many years she served as a “pioneer”, one who spends a large number of hours each month in the door-to-door ministry. Lucy loved reading and discussing the Bible, and in her final years would often ask visitors to read her one of the Psalms.

Lucy was memorable. Perhaps it was her humor. Perhaps it was her expressions, calling someone a cheeky monkey, or saying they were treating her with disnoticement. But nearly everyone enjoyed her company, and will remember her.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 3:00pm with David Koester officiating.
