Ltc Kennethl. Fink (Ret.)

LTC Kenneth L. Fink, age 77 of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born July 3, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Cletus and Louise Fink.

Ken was a 1958 graduate of Northridge H.S. and was inducted into the Northridge Hall of Fame. In high school he played football (captain of the team and named MVP in numerous games), track & field, basketball and was an honor student.

He attended Bowling Green State University on a full football scholarship receiving an undergraduate degree in education. Later in his career he earned a Master's Degree while teaching ROTC at BGSU.

Ken retired from the U.S. Army serving in Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Germany and many stateside assignments. He served as a Green Beret and in the Special Forces in Vietnam and was Airborn qualified.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, bowling, fishing and was an artist. He was an honest sincere man with a big heart who helped everyone he could and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of almost 56 years, Patricia (Wright), their children, Kenneth Mark Fink and Elizabeth Fink Wade and her husband, Dale; grandchildren, Harrison Lee Fink and Kenneth Dalton Bell: siblings, Cletus "Butch" Fink, Robert and wife Patricia Fink, Beverly Simmons and Cheryl and husband Albert Van Schaik; brother-in-law, Donald P. Wright, special friend Roberta (Bubba) Wright Bliss as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be held Thursday from 9-11 at the funeral home. Burial immediately following the service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
