Louis Cascanett

Louis Cascanett, age 88, of Clayton, Ohio, formerly of Cicero, NY, passed away April 18, 2026.

Louis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Myoung Cascanett; son and daughter-in-law: Louis Cascanett, Jr and Becky; daughter and son-in-law: Ann Cascanett Roth and Chris; grandchildren: Helen, Caitlyn, Logan, Anna, Mikel and Aidan; great-grandchildren: Nova, Sebastian and Adeline; sisters: Elizabeth Dumas and Rickey Redhead; brother, Butchie Steinbaugh; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired after 22 years of service. He then worked for and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 24 years.

Louis attended St. Paul Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a very generous man, often giving donations to different charities.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1000 W. Wenger Road, Englewood, where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.  Father, Tony Fortman, Celebrant.  

A graveside service with military honors will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 9:00 am at Dayton National Cemetery. For those wishing to attend, a funeral procession will form after 8:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, and will leave promptly at 8:20 am.
