Lorraine P. Orr

Lorraine P. Orr, age 92 of Moraine, passed away on September 19, 2018 at the Wood Glen Alzheimer's Community. She was born on November 19, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Marvin L. and Elizabeth M. (McKnight) Staton Sr.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years Howard "Gene" Orr; brothers, Robert Staton Sr. and Marvin L. Staton Jr. and a nephew, David Staton.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Sue (Dale) Reigelsperger; son, Ronald Gene (Patricia) Orr; grandchildren, Melissa (David) Dalrymple, Curt (Sharon) Reigelsperger, Michael Orr, Rick (Shelley) Orr; great-grandchildren, Kylie Greishop, Alexa (Sid) van Druenen, Jacob Reigelsperger, Jordan (Kristie) Orr; sister, Dona Barker and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorraine attended Wilbur Wright High School and later earned her diploma in 1967. She worked for the Montgomery County recorder serving various positions and later served several local law firms as a title examiner. Lorraine retired from her career in 1974 and turned her focus to leisure activities such as golf and enjoying their home in Florida. In her earlier years she enjoyed travelling and camping with her family and friends. Lorraine will always be remembered for her love of family and grandchildren


Visitation will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 10:00-11:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 am, with Rev. Bobette Predmore officiating. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery at 1:00 pm Thursday.
