Lorie Ann Burger

Lorie Ann Burger, 69, of Beavercreek, passed away October 6, 2025. Lorie was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 14, 1955 to Carl and Joyce Larsen.

Lorie was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest brother, Jon.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Burger, three sisters and one brother.

Lorie was a dedicated speech pathologist who cherished her work with her “kiddos”. Most recently, she worked at Greene County ESC, Therapy Connections LLC., and the Montessori School of Dayton.

Lorie graduated from Wayne High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Miami University and her Master’s from Ohio University.

For over 30 years, Lorie designed and fabricated jewelry. Her flame worked glass beads, metal work and other skilled techniques brought her love of nature and art to wearable pieces. She enjoyed attending many classes and workshops over the years, while continuing to hone her artistry in her backyard studio.

She was a member and trustee of the Beavercreek Wetlands group for many years and was passionate about land conservation and protecting wildlife and wetlands. Lorie loved hiking, nature restoration projects, counting butterflies and so much more.

Family, friends, co-workers, fellow artists, naturalists, book clubbers and children of all ages are all invited to The Cox Arboretum (Fifth Third Conference Center) on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 from 3:00pm-6:00pm.

Drop in anytime and meet some of Lorie’s wonderful network. There will be no formal service, just cocktails, delicious snacks, music, and heartfelt conversations about a well-lived life.
