Lori Carlson

Lori Carlson, age 70 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born August 17, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Fred and Maria Richards.

Lori dedicated 33 years to her role as an office manager at Singer Properties. Devoted to her family, she was known for her exceptional culinary skills, delighting her loved ones with memorable family reunions. Her vibrant life was filled with music, dancing, and an impressive collection of candles. Alongside her husband, Lori embarked on 45 joyous cruises, cherishing every moment.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Richards.

Lori is survived by her husband of 21 years, Donald; son, David (Megan) Ranly and their children, Julia and JD; step daughter, Shannon (Chance) Burnette and their daughter, Khloe; step daughter, Jennifer (Christopher) West and their children, Olivia and Nolan; step daughter, Sera (Michael) Wellman and their daughter, Eliette; brother, Garry (Gail) Richards; sister, Valerie (Richard) Tata; best friends, Shayna & Alex Kolodesh and Tim & Gail Rion; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Tenth Life or Hospice of Dayton in Lori's honor.
