Lorene Mae Van Riper

Lorene Mae Van Riper, 81, of Centerville, passed away on February 14, 2017 at Pristine Senior Living of Centerville. She was born on August 18, 1935 to the late John and Martha (Salyers) Fife in Lucas, OH.
Lorene worked as an assembler for Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield, OH. In 1971, she married William Van Riper. Lorene and William lived in Miamisburg, Ohio. She was a member of the Miamisburg Assembly of God.
Lorene is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Darrell) Griffey and Kathryn (Robert) Hackett and; grandchildren, Yvonne Lynn (Stephen) Schmidt, Allen (Angela) Mays, and Larry D. Collins; great grandchildren, David and Daniel Collins, Ashley Mays, Abigail Mays, and Jake Schmidt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Van Riper; sister, Alice Fife; brothers, Arthur, Charles, and Paul Fife.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439, with Dwight Cimino officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hospice of the Miami Valley.
