Lonnie Wayne Powers

Powers, Lonnie Wayne age 59, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020. He was born in Xenia, Ohio on October 4, 1960 to the late Richard Delano Sr. and Kathleen Emma Powers (nee Burns).

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Jean Powers "Sissy", brother, Brian Keith Powers.

Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Dana Lynn (Stephen) Edwards; son, Kevin Wayne Powers; mother of his children, Marcia Barreras; two grandchildren, Madison Lynn Taylor and Asher River Edwards; siblings, Sherry L. (Larry "Ray") Howard, Richard Delano (Christine) Powers "Rick", Jr., Christine (John) Manriquez, and Mark A. (Marcy) Powers; and a host of other family members and friends.

Lonnie had a deep love for both of his kids, Dana and Kevin. He was able to enjoy a family visit in 2015 which left him with his greatest memories.

Lonnie absolutely loved his flooring profession. He would talk all day about the jobs he had. Lonnie took great pride and honor in taking care of his parents for over 20 years. He was also very adamant about the lawn looking the best, would spend many hours grooming the landscaping and working on projects around the house.

Flowers are welcomed at the service in honor of Lonnie.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2020 with a visitation from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
