Lois E. Adkins

Lois Adkins, age 88, of Xenia, Ohio, laid her head on her pillow and went to rest for the last time on January 2, 2020. Lois was born February 14, 1931 on Pine Mountain right along the Cumberland River to the late John and Dovie Rose.

Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and was an outdoors woman. She enjoyed cooking for others. Friday the thirteenth was her lucky day. To know Lois was to love her and she was loved by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Luther Howard, 2nd husband of 32 years, Orville Adkins; and sisters, Ada and Mamie.

Lois is survived by her children, Roger (Betty) Howard, Wanda (Joe) Delong, Penny Fields, Debbie (Randy) Potter, and Larry "Ray" (Sherry) Howard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren going on 5 generations; siblings, Arnold Rose, and Faye Burkheart; as well as a host of numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 09, 2020 from 10:00am -11:00am. A graveside service will begin at 11:30am at Valley View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions can be made in Lois honor to Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Association.
