Lisa devoted her professional career to Jamestown Industries in manufacturing, where her hardworking spirit shone brightly. Her colleagues and friends will fondly remember her as a straightforward and outgoing person, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. She found fulfillment not just in her work but in the love of her family, which she considered her greatest accomplishment. Lisa took immense pride in being a devoted mother to her son, Shawndale Preston, and a cherished grandmother to her grandson, Elijah Preston.
Education was always an important endeavor in her life, with her roots grounded at Dunbar High School in Dayton. Lisa’s life was a testament to determination and resilience, especially marked by her proud achievement of 26 years in recovery. This journey not only shaped her but inspired others, as she encouraged them to grow and give back, reflecting her deep desire to uplift those around her.
In her leisure time, Lisa found joy in a variety of hobbies. Whether it was going to the movies, bowling, or simply listening to her favorite music, she cherished every moment spent with family and friends. She loved hosting family gatherings, often centered around delicious BBQs, where laughter and connection were plentiful. Her passion for travel opened her heart to new experiences and cultures, further enriching her vibrant spirit.
Lisa is survived by her loving son, Shawndale Preston, and her beloved grandson, Elijah Preston. She was a treasured sister to Patricia Christian, Brenda Pounds, Tyrone (Tracey) Finley, and Shelby Finley, and she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
