Lisa Mattern, age 57 of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her family and friends. She was born June 21, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles and Jean McLaughlin.
Lisa was most recently employed with Stepping Stones Learning Center and Borics/Fiesta in Dayton. Anyone who knew Lisa knew that she was a giving and kind-hearted person. She was an inspiration to all and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Mattern; daughter, Molly Elizabeth Mattern; siblings, Larry Smith, Charles "Chuck" McLaughlin, Richard McLaughlin, Davie McLaughlin and Stevie McLaughlin.
Lisa will be missed by her loving daughter, Katie (Chris) Perkins; grandchildren, Cameron, Zoey and Baylee; sister, Terry (Dennis) Shutts; sisters-in-law Sharon Smith, Emily McLaughlin and Mary Jane (Roger) Fuller; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including her very close niece, Chrissy Rogers and her Stepping Stones and Borics families.
Family will receive friends Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH.
