Linda Marie Sheley, born on February 7, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Kettering, Ohio. She was a woman whose life was marked by devotion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones and community.

A graduate of Centerville High School’s Class of 1968, Linda pursued further education at Sinclair Community College, embodying a lifelong passion for learning. Her intellectual curiosity was matched by a deep spiritual faith, nurtured through daily Bible reading and as a cherished member of Lifepointe Church in Kettering.

Linda’s family was the heart of her world. She was a loving wife to Richard Sheley and a supportive sister to Michael (Deborah) Norvell, Sandra (Lamont) Carroll, Jonathan Norvell, and Daniel (Stephanie) Norvell. Throughout her life, she embraced the role of "Aunt" with joy and love, delighting in the lives of her nieces and nephews, whom she treasured!

One of the most touching chapters of Linda’s life was her selfless care for her mother, Alberta Norvell, whom she lovingly welcomed into her home. Linda carried out this responsibility with grace, embodying the qualities of kindness, patience, and a gentle heart.

Her personality shone brightly—funny, loving, and always sensitive to the needs of others. Known for her stubbornness only in the sense of standing firm for what she believed was right, she never uttered a harsh word about anyone and consistently demonstrated a heart of gold. Linda had a special talent for nurturing connections, always taking the time to send heartfelt cards to family and friends for birthdays and holidays, moments that many eagerly anticipated.

Outside of her family life, Linda indulged in her love of reading, especially her Bible, and enjoyed watching QVC and the Hallmark Channel, pastimes that brought her simple, joyful moments of relaxation.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Reverend Donald and Alberta Norvell, who undoubtedly shaped the compassionate and faithful woman she became.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. As we remember Linda Marie Sheley, we honor a life defined by love, dedication, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the countless memories she leaves behind will continue to inspire and comfort those privileged to have shared in her journey.

Services will be held privately by her family.
