Listen to Obituary

Linda Marie Oldiges, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world on February 3, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on May 17, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Linda's journey through life was characterized by her unwavering love and dedication to her family and friends.

As a graduate of Belmont High School in 1973, Linda's natural kindness and caring spirit found its greatest expression in the toughest job of all—being a stay-at-home mom. Her role as mother to her daughters was the proudest accomplishment of her life, embodying her loving personality as she nurtured and guided them. Linda was not just a mother to her own children, but also to her daughters' friends, embodying a warmth and generosity that made her a second mom to many.

Linda had a zest for life that was evident in her hobbies and interests. She had a deep love for flowers and took joy in cooking and baking for her family, creating treasured memories around the dining table. Her competitive spirit shone through in her love for playing cornhole and tetherball, and she was a passionate fan of NASCAR—especially cheering for her favorite driver, Dale Jr. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and her beloved fur babies, Lexie, Izzy, Lady and Bailey along with her grand fur baby Frenchy.

Linda is survived by her devoted daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Howard; her sister, Cindy (Marty) Overholser; her grand dog Frenchy; her kitties Izzy and Bailey; her niece, Michelle Shiveley; her nephew, Steven Shiveley; and her great-nephew, Dietrich Shiveley.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Greg Oldiges; her daughter, Jessica Knapp; her mother, Erika Carl; her father, Gene Rogers; and her fur babies, Lexie and Lady.

A visitation will be held on February 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery.

Family would love nothing more than to have the room filled with flowers since Linda loved them.
