Linda Jo Newman

Linda Jo Newman, age 68, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 after a battle with cancer. She was born on November 22, 1956 in Dayton, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and JoAnn Slife and her sister, Pamela Slife.

She is survived by her children, Sarah Newman, Steve (Kate) Newman and Samantha (Brad) Williams; her grandchildren, Caleb Traufler, Abbigail Newman, Raigen Newman, Charlee Newman, Madyn Williams, Tucker Williams, Hudson Williams; her sister, Cindy (Bill) Thurman and her ex-husband, Steve Newman.

Linda worked in the City of Sidney court system for many years. She was a 911 dispatcher, bailiff and probation officer. She excelled at accounting and worked for H&R Block, Emerson and a local tax office.

Linda was a dog lover and enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Scout and Willow. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services are pending at this time. Linda will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park.
