Linda Kay Murphy, 77, passed peacefully Thursday morning, May 22, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was born September 4, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Luella “Kate” and Urban “Smokey” Schoen.
After graduating from Fairmont West High School in 1965, she married Timothy Allen Murphy on June 12, happily married for 35 years. Linda had many jobs throughout her life. Police dispatcher to realtor; seamstress to C.E.O. of Dance by Teri; Linda was many things, but she was always a loving wife and mother. Her family was her joy.
Additionally, she was a loyal member of Southwest Church for many years, and was an active part of the community there. Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us of her undying devotion: to choose a life of love as the Lord modeled.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings Margaret (Bill Roark), Virginia Osburn, Nancy (Mike Santoro), and sister-in-law Cheri Schoen.
She is survived by her brother, William “Billy” Schoen; her children, Teri Lynn Parks, Patrick Allen (Dixie Murphy), Tami Ann (Bart Knifley), and son-in-law Steve Parks; her grandchildren, Shelby Erin (Tony Mease), Jackson Allen Murphy, Rachel Elizabeth Parks, Sarah Louise Knifley; her great-grandchildren, Brantley Allen Mease and Peyton Lynn Mease; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Southwest Church (150 Remick Blvd., Springboro, OH 45066). A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 am.
