Linda Kay Louth, born on May 13, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, departed this life peacefully on August 26, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. A gentle soul with a kind heart, Linda exemplified the essence of compassion, dedicating her life to nurturing others, be it through her professional endeavors or her fervent love for God, animals, and especially children.
Linda's illustrious career spanned various roles, each showcasing her innate ability to connect with people. She was well-known for her tenure at McCall's Printing in Dayton and at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio, where her joyful spirit shone brilliantly. However, her most cherished role came as a Patient Care Technician at Miami Valley Hospital, specifically within the Labor and Delivery unit. Here, she provided unwavering support to countless families, greeting new life with the warmth of her caring nature.
An alumna of Stivers High School, Class of 1970, Linda carried with her an educational foundation that would foster a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. Her faith was a cornerstone of her being; she faithfully attended the United Christian Center for over thirty years, where she not only found solace but also contributed as a member of the worship team, lifting spirits with her enchanting voice. Linda nurtured close relationships with her brothers and sisters at church, creating a vibrant community of support and fellowship.
Beyond her remarkable career and spiritual pursuits, Linda’s heart expanded even further, embracing the simple joys of life. She held a special bond with her cherished cat, Jeff, who exquisitely mirrored her loving nature by snuggling beside her each night. Her compassion extended to all creatures great and small, as evidenced by her volunteer work at local animal shelters and her steadfast support of the ASPCA. Linda also nurtured the next generation by teaching Sunday school, further embodying her love for children.
Throughout her life, Linda found joy in writing poetry and short stories, bursting forth with creativity that echoed her passions. She relished spending time with her cousins in Eaton and Delphos, Ohio, where laughter and beloved memories were made. Effervescent in spirit, she adored singing and dancing, reveling in moments of joyous celebration. Gardening and dining out with family and friends brought her immense pleasure, allowing her to connect with those she loved in meaningful ways.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished dearly by her son, Dustin Louth, her daughter, Kelly Lofaro, and her two grandchildren. She is also remembered fondly by many cousins and close friends, whose lives she touched profoundly.
Preceding her in death are her devoted parents, Eugene and Ruth Louth, and her best friend, Ann Shropshire, both of whom undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
