Linda Diane Lipinski

LIPINSKI, Linda Diane passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on August 29, 2025 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She was born in Dayton on June 28, 1949, to the late Edward and Stella (Cichanowicz) Lipinski. Linda was a graduate of Kiser High School. She had been employed with The E. F. MacDonald Company and Citizens Federal Bank. Her vibrant spirit earned her the esteemed title of Pimento Cheese Queen on August 29,1981, as proudly proclaimed by Dale Huffman, on the front page of the Dayton Daily News, exactly 45 years ago. Linda's heart remained rooted in her Polish heritage, and her love for Polka music. She had been a resident of Dayton and Kettering, and more recently at Walnut Creek Nursing Center in Moraine for the past six years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving sister, Carol Gauder and her husband Michael of Englewood. godson and nephew, Jonathan Gauder of Beavercreek, nephew Joseph Gauder and his wife Jackie of Tipp City, and their children Callen and Cecilia, niece Joanna Gauder of Englewood; devoted cousin Ellen Higginbotham of Dayton and Charles Higginbotham of Dayton, dear friends Kathy Fredenburg and Betty Byrd, and many other relatives and friends. Though Lewy body dementia may have challenged her in her final years, Linda's spirit remained unbroken. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Brittany and Natalie at Walnut Creek Nursing Center and to all the nurses and staff for their compassionate care, and to Ohio Valley Hospice for their remarkable care and kindness. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 411 E 2nd St, Dayton, OH 45402.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
