Linda Jaynes

Linda Jeanne Jaynes, a cherished member of the Dayton community, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on December 29, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, Linda lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep love for her family and passions.

Linda was a proud graduate of Fairmont High School and furthered her education at Bowling Green University. Her professional career was exemplified by her thirty years of service as a loan officer at DayMet Credit Union, where she was respected for her expertise and commitment to assisting others.

Beyond her career, Linda was known for her vibrant spirit and rich interests. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and held a special affection for animals, with her beloved schnauzer Heidi being a constant companion. Linda’s zest for life extended to her love of music and the outdoors; she and her husband Richard enjoyed attending concerts and festivals, camping adventures, and participating enthusiastically in volks marches. Their shared love of travel led them on many cruises, creating memories treasured by both.

Linda’s presence illuminated the lives of many, especially her devoted husband, Richard Jaynes. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Carol McNabb, daughter Richelle (Steve) Jaynes, son Lonnie (Holli) Jaynes, and numerous grandchildren—Jon, James, Jordan, Donovan, and Chas. The bond with her great-grandchildren Aubrie, Everett, and Kai brought her immense joy, as did her close relationships with her niece Mindy Christian and great nephews George, Eric, and Matt Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Fern Henderson, her nephew Rob West, and her mother-in-law, Phyllis Jaynes.

Those wishing to celebrate Linda’s remarkable life may attend the visitation on April 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville, located at 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 12:00 PM.

Linda Jeanne Jaynes leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and joyous memories. Her gentle spirit and steadfast kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
