Linda J. McCoppin

Linda Jean McCoppin, age 69 of Vandalia, Ohio passed away on December 27, 2024. She was born July 23, 1955 in Middletown, Ohio daughter of the late William and Mae (Colville) McCoppin. 

Linda was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed going on vacations with her brother and family. Linda's pride and joy was her nieces and their pets. She was employed with the family business at Gem City Gymnastics, where she fell in love with getting to know the kids and their families. Linda was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams being The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Bengals. Linda will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky and Tony McCoppin; and sister, Sherrie Ponchot.

She is survived by her brother, Larry (Diane) McCoppin; nieces, Nicole (Ryan) Setser, Danielle McCoppin (Andrew Weaver), Sarah Ponchot-Vida, and Michelle Baker; great niece, Alyssa Vida; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, Ohio.
