Linda D. Stockstill

Linda D. Stockstill, age 71 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2026. She was born May 7, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio. The daughter of the late Donald Rhodes and Juanita Penn.

Linda loved horses, hummingbirds, crafting, puzzles, watching Hallmark, and her 1999 Green Ford Truck. She had a passion for listening to Country music, Dolly Parton Christmas Album (Go tell it on the Mountain and Coat of Many Colors), and Elvis Presley. She recommitted her life to Christ and prayed for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her long time partner, Albert Ashburn; father, Donald Rhodes; mother, Juanita Penn; step-father, Harold Penn; sister, Debbie Priestly; and step- brother, Jeff Helm

She is survived by children, Steven Stockstill, Christopher Stockstill, and Michael Stockstill; grandchildren, Cynthia Jo, Dovie Lynn, Donald, Mason, Daniel, Anna, Branden, and Ashley; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Rhodes, Mark (Belma) Rhodes, Michael (Dawn) Rhodes, Patricia (Greg) Simmons, Cynthia Rhodes (Terry Phelps), Lisa Dawn Hubert, and step- sister, Jennifer Helm; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 6-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 7pm with brother-in-law, Greg Simmons officiating.
