Listen to Obituary

Lois Yvonne Brown Butcher, 84, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026 surrounded by her children and sisters. Born March 8, 1941, in Corsicana, Texas, she was the daughter of Marietta Jones and Edward Brown who preceded her in death.

A devout member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, she carried her beliefs into every part of her life-offering comfort, steady guidance, and an example to those around her. She leaves behind her children Sherron Jefferson and Alesia Butcher of Columbus, OH. Stanley (Kelley) Butcher of Troy, OH, Athena Sims, and Regina Butcher of Huber Heights, OH.

Lois was a treasured grandmother to Bobby, Chanel, Cedric, Tiara, Jenna, Valance, Sequoia, Simone, and Caleb; a loving great-grandmother to Brianna, Jasmine, Daelyn, D'Angelo, Tayvian, Kayla, Hayden, Marley, Riyan, Rylan, Aziah, Landon, and Gavin, and a proud great-great-grandmother to Zy Aire. She also leaves behind her sisters, Carrie (Richard) Carr, Jacquelyn Block, and Edie Hall, a host of nieces and nephews, and loving friends.

Lois will always be remembered for her love of her ministry work, watching animal shows, sitting outside in the sun, and riding Days of Thunder at King's Island.
