Linda Fay Bolen, born on February 11, 1949, passed away on July 9, 2026, leaving an enduring legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. Linda was the youngest of fourteen children, and from an early age, she embodied patience and selflessness, traits that those close to her describe as nothing short of angelic. She had a deep faith and love for God; together her and her husband Dale pioneered seven churches.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Cindy Fite, and her devoted son, Rick (Lyn) Bolen. Linda was a proud grandmother to Anthony Bolen, Matthew Bolen, Preston Bolen, Savannah Bolen, Gabbiee Bolen, Alexander (Chelsea) Rogers, and Taylor (Cody) Large. The next generation brought her even more happiness with great-grandchildren Kelsie Rogers, Hayden Schaeffer, Paisley Rogers, Lilly Large, and Lydia Large; her late sons family Christina, Rachel, Ryan, Timothy, and their children.
She is fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. Linda was preceded in death by her cherished son, Dale Michael Bolen Jr., son-in-law John Fite and her loving husband, Dale Bolen Sr., whom she was devoted to for 63 years.
Known for her gentle spirit, Linda always put others before herself. Her days were filled with thoughtfulness—she never hesitated to offer a helping hand, a kind word, or a listening ear. Her family remembers her as someone who radiated warmth and gave unconditionally, qualities that made her a beloved figure in their lives.
Linda also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She often spent her quiet moments playing Sudoku and word searches, finding satisfaction in solving puzzles and keeping her mind sharp. Crocheting brought her joy, as she lovingly created pieces that became treasured keepsakes for those around her.
Her legacy is one of compassion, patience, and abiding love. The memories she created with her family and friends will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Linda Fay Bolen’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she shared so freely in life.
