Lillian Cunningham, affectionately known as "Sister," passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Kettering, Ohio. Born on November 27, 1932, in Blytheville, Arkansas, Lillian lived a vibrant life marked by her outgoing nature and a deep commitment to her family and community.
Lillian was a beacon of love and positivity, known for her sharp wit and infectious sense of humor. Her home was a gathering place, where meals brought family together, memories were created, and laughter filled the air. Lillian’s passions included decorating, traveling, and cooking unusual meals that delighted her loved ones. She cherished spending time outdoors, fostering a deep connection to nature.
Throughout her life, Lillian took pride in her deep faith and the strong bonds she cultivated with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia (Farid) Abu-Ghosh; her grandchildren, Randy Cunningham and Thomas (Kaitlyn) French; and her great-grandchildren, Quinten Elrod and Anthony French. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Adora, James (Sue) Fields, Shirley Fields, Robert Fields, Danny Fields, Joe (Letha) Fields, and Rosalie Fields, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Emmie Fields, and her siblings, Louie Fields, Willie Fields, David Fields, and Mary Murakami, as well as several siblings-in-law, including Archie Enoch, LC Frazier, Pinkey Fields, Ronald T. Murakami, and Theresa Fields.
Her legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion will be remembered by all who knew her. Lillian Cunningham will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her love, laughter, and unwavering support for her family.
