Lewis Poling

Lewis A. Poling, age 81 of West Milton, passed away March 14, 2016. He was born April 22, 1934 in Ansonia, OH to the late Harley and Mary Poling. In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Sharon Sue Poling.

Lewis is survived by his son, Thomas Poling; daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Ken Alderson; grandchildren: Emily Alderson and Alan Alderson; great-grandson, Dylan Spencer; sister, Wanda Young; nephew, Arthur (Nyla) Young; niece, Carol (Larry) Wolfe; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Lewis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force, serving 7 years active duty, and 27 years reserve. He retired from Dayton Power & Light, where he was a Mechanic.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday. Burial and military honors to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
