Letcher McDaniel, age 78, of Miamisburg passed away on September 13, 2024. He was born in Oneida, Kentucky on August 24, 1946 to the late Raleigh and Eunice McDaniel. In addition to his parents, Letcher is preceded in death by his wives, Elaine Marshall, Myra Sue McDaniel; sister, Linda Freeman; daughter, Karen Current and grandson, Jacob Current.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Kim) McDaniel, LeeAnn (Bill) McDaniel; grandchildren, Cody (Travis) McDaniel-Allen, Marshall McDaniel, Lainey McDaniel and great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Carsyn and Adalynn; along with many other family and friends.
Letcher was employed at Miami Valley Paper Company in Franklin for 42 years. He was a self-taught, skilled mechanic and for 10 years he worked at Sears as a part-time mechanic. Letcher was an avid UK basketball fan, he loved NASCAR and he enjoyed riding his zero-turn riding mower. Letcher also adored his pets, Julie, Bob and Miss Muffett. He was a wonderful father and grandfather that will be deeply missed. Letcher will be forever loved by those who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. Minister Ray Lynn Watts to officiate.
