Lessie A. Banks

Lessie A. Banks "Sam", age 85 of Englewood, passed away December 8, 2020. She was born August 5, 1935 in Dickenson County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eliza D. Small; brothers: Terry Boyd Neece and John L. Neece; son, Ricky Eugene Parsons; husband, Billy R. Parsons; and sister, Catherine Powers.

Lessie is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Roberts; sister, Linda F. Redmond; sister-in-law, Patty Neece; nieces: Trisha Cummings and Yolanda Sawvell; nephew, Terry Boyd Neece, Jr.; many other relatives and friends.

Lessie worked at Hewitt Soap Company for 33 years and for Nick's Hide-a-way Restaurant for 30 years. Lessie was a hard worker her entire life; she was a wonderful lady who loved bluegrass music; a devoted mother; and she will be missed by all who knew her.
