Leroy Thomas

THOMAS, Leroy, age 90 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2017. He was born in Sandgap, KY to the late Stella and Willie Thomas. Leroy proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during WWII, earning the Army Occupation Medal (Germany) and the WWII Victory Medal. After his service, Leroy married Virgaleen Ginter and they were married for 64 years. Leroy was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Virgaleen Thomas; daughter, Veronica Thomas; brother, Eddie Ray Thomas.

Leroy leaves behind to cherish his memory; son, Adrian Thomas; grandson, Michael (Tracie) Thomas; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel at 10am. Visitation to be held for one hour prior (9-10am). Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens.
