Leonard V. (Whitey) Wysinski passed away February 7, 2016 at his winter home in Marco Island, FL.
Born December 7, 1924 to the late Thomas and Florence Wysinski in Dayton, OH. He attended St. Adalbert Parochial School and graduated from Kiser High School. He was a member of Kiser Alumni Assoc., PNA Lodge 1935, PRCUA, VFW Lodge 3283, Amvets Post 24, American Czechoslovakia Club and The Dayton Polish Club. He was preceded in death by his brother William Wysinski and sister Janet Huist.
Whitey leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years Virginia, his five children Vicki (Robert) Huff, Patricia (Robert deceased) Horner, Thomas (Sherry) Wysinski, James (Jenny) Wysinski and Jean Feldman. There are also 11 grandchildren Jennifer Helland, Jonathan Horner, Brian Huff, Laura Huff, Nicholas Wysinski, Nathan Wysinski, Zachary Wysinski, Matthew Feldman, Jessica Feldman, Andrew Feldman and a step-grandson Steve Huff. He also has three great grandchildren Taylor, Addison and Brooklyn Helland.
Whitey was a US Navy World War II veteran spending many months in the Atlantic and Pacific areas. He was a Boatswain 2nd Class and served on the USS San Jacinto aircraft carrier. He then retired from Standard Register after 30 years.
