Leona Faye Wertz-Hall, age 50 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center, after a courageous battle with MS and cancer. She was born July 15, 1969 in Fort Eustis, Virginia, the daughter of Delbert and Gloria Faye Wertz.
She is preceded in death by her father, Delbert Franklin Wertz; 3 beloved dogs, Sassy Frassy, Tater Knutz and Spike.
Leona is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Bryan Butler, Brittany Butler, Taylor Butler, Alexander Hall, Alan Hall; mother, Gloria Faye Wertz; grandchildren, Caroline, Montana and Raelynn; sister, Margaret (Joe) Egner; nephew, Elijah; sisters-in-law, Jutta Hall, Claudia Beck, both of Oklahoma; beloved dogs, Peanut, the Great Dane and Izzy, the Chihuahua; as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Leona loved spending time with her family. She loved her kids and grandkids. Leona was a devoted wife, daughter, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at 11: 30 am in Dayton National Cemetery.
