Leon E. Lacey

Leon E. Lacey, age 71 of Beavercreek, OH, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was born November 4, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Leon retired from Sheet Metal Union Local #24 of Dayton after 45 years. He loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, virtually everywhere in the United States. Leon loved to hunt and fish, was a member of the Ohio Bow Hunters Association and traveled to many states to pursue his passion. He enjoyed bow hunting and participated in numerous archery tournaments. Leon loved his family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Leon is survived by his son, Dean E. (Deana) Lacey; two grandchildren, Sierra and Noah Lacey; sisters, Nora Jean Sears and Melba Maxwell; two brothers, Ted and Walter Lacey; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Lacey; and other family.

Visitation will be Saturday July 22, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. The Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at Valley View Cemetery.
