Leon Fletcher

Leon M. Fletcher, age 57, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on March 19, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 9, 1966 to Jackie Fletcher and the late John Neville Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son Dalton Fletcher.

Leon is survived by his wife Velvet Fletcher; special friend of 18 years, Lisa Thomason; children Elijah Fletcher, Gabrielle (Flo Nelson) Fletcher, and Gabe Fletcher; step-children, Lauren Chester and Matt Alflen; brothers John (Julie) Neville, and Chris (Judy) Neville; sisters Beth Neville Lisa Mullins, Brenda Adams; grandchildren Madelynn McCollough, Dalton Fletcher, Paisleigh Alflen, Freyja Alflen, Ellanor Alflen; special friend Tiyo Karenga, who was like a brother; numerous nieces, nephews, family and other friends.

Leon enjoyed fishing and tending to his reptiles. Leon was a hard worker, and loved his job at University of Dayton, where he was employed 17 years. He liked to spend his time camping in the mountains. Leon was an avid member of the church FHMCC. He had lots of friends, a lot he made during his time at University of Dayton.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Funeral service to follow at 1 PM officiated by Brian Smith.
