Leolah Ethel Phipps

Leolah Ethel Phipps, aged 89, of Beavercreek, passed away on August 17, 2026. Born on September 24, 1936, in Pineville, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas Shackleford and Bessie Shackleford.

Leolah embraced her family with deep love and held strong values throughout her life, often set in her ways at times. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Willis Phipps; and her sons, Willis Phipps and Eddie Phipps.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her children Larry (Dulcene) Phipps, Patricia Love, Steve (Kathy) Phipps, Terry Phipps, Sheila (Donald) Cain, Theresa (Rick) Bond, and Leonard (Donna) Phipps; her sisters, Sylvia and Lorraine; her brothers, Bill and Leonard; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery, Trotwood.
