Burggraf, Leo F "Sonny", age 74, of Middletown passed away March 14.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gayle.
Leo retired from Middletown schools. He was a proud U.S. Army and Naval Reserve veteran. He loved fishing and serving as an umpire for baseball and softball. Sonny never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons; Leo John, Scott, Dennis and Lucas; daughters, Brandie and Michelle; 17 grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed and Russell; sisters, Pat and Rena; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 21 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering. Burial with military honors will follow in Dayton National Cemetery. Leo's family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am prior to the service. Condolences may be left for the family at www.newcomerdayton.com.
