Lela M. Heath

Lela M. Heath, age 94 of Dayton, passed away August 6, 2017. She was born May 14, 1923 in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late George and Stella Jewett. In addition to her parents, Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Heath; brothers: James Jewett, Henry Jewett, Charles Jewett, Dilliard Jewett and Irvington Jewett; and sisters: Mary Morgan and Louise Moore.

Lela is survived by her children: Robert Jewett (Rosa), Beverly Oliver (Reuben), Deborah Johnson (George) and Bryan Heath; 11 grandchildren: Kenny Jewett, Kevin Jewett, Jacqueline Anderson, Anthony Blyden, Kevin Blyden, Valerie Payne, Lakisha Williams-Worthen, Krystal Williams-Martin, Jason Heath, Natasha Nolan and Jerome Heath; many great-grandchildren; brother, George Jewett, Jr. (Eldora); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Jeffersonview Cemetery. To send a special message to the family, please click on Share Memories.
